Access Youtube in China and get back your communications

It is true that the Chinese government has imposed measures to censor a lot of information on the internet. One of the worst is not allowing to access YouTube in China. Actually not just YouTube but Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites as well. But people rely so much to such sites, that it dampens their primary means of communication when the government prohibits access to YouTube and other sites in China.

Communication is vital to one’s life. Through the use of internet, communicating is now easier and cheaper. Telephone bills used to skyrocket because it is charged per minute of use. Sending mails and parcels consume too much time especially if the intended receiver lives on the other side of the country and too much money if sent by expedited delivery service. Not just the economical but the social aspect is also affected. When these social networking sites are banned and became unavailable, it made communicating, organizing, and expanding one’s world more difficult.

Because of the inability to access YouTube in China (as well as other sites) freely, people have become frustrated with the system. As a Chinese speaker I can see that there are many posts on Chinese internet sites filled with people frustrated at not having access to western sites.
